Pacific Pottery 613 hmc j307

Pacific 613 Dinner Plate (hmc J307 – Apache Red)

A decorated #613 dinner plate from Pacific Pottery in the Apache Red glaze featuring a pattern marked hmc J307. Based on other pieces in my collection, I believe that the hmc marks refer to a specific designer’s initials. All hmc pieces that I’ve found have been one-of-a-kind, and this designer may have focused on creating highly specialized designs based on customer requests.

Dinner plate size is 11″.

More information on Pacific Pottery’s decorated Hostessware line and pattern index is available on The Maximalist website.

Pacific Pottery Hostessware decorated #613 dinner plate in pattern marked hmc J307.

In 1934, Pacific Pottery introduced their “decorated” lines – a series of glazed patterns on the Hostessware shape. Around 50 decorated Hostessware patterns have been found, but many of the patterns are undocumented. Pacific Pottery decorated Hostessware may sometimes have a painted notation or stamp on the bottom indicating a pattern ID.
